TWENTY YEARS. THE BEST FRESH FACES. THE SEARCH IS ON TO FIND THE NEXT GREAT FASHION DESIGNER.

Gen Art presents the 30th anniversary installment of Fresh Faces in Fashion, the legendary talent search that brings the finest emerging designers to the forefront of the fashion industry.

The Program
Launched in New York in 1995, Fresh Faces in Fashion has discovered and developed some of the industry’s most exciting and successful designers, including Rebecca Taylor (1997), Zac Posen (2001), Philip Lim (2001), Duckie Brown (Steven Cox and Daniel Silver, 2003), and Rodarte (2005). This year, the search is on for five emerging designers to be featured at New York Fashion Week in September. One Fresh Face will win a year-long development contract with Gen Art and a fast track to extraordinary success.

The Process
Gen Art has issued a global call for nominations to fifty of the world’s leading fashion education programs. Each institution is invited to nominate three alumni, who are ready to succeed at the highest levels of fashion. Gen Art and members of the 2015 Fresh Faces Jury, including legendary designers, media stars, and other industry insiders, will also invite designers to compete.
In early August, the Top 20 will present their Spring/Summer 2016 collections to the Jury. Then, five designers will be selected to show their collections at Gen Art’s New York Fashion Week runway show in September.

The Prize
The winner of Fresh Faces in Fashion 2015 will receive a one-year incubation opportunity with Gen Art. The company will provide financial support, as well as expert strategies for brand development, marketing and sales to take the winner’s career to the next level.

The People
Gen Art has assembled an esteemed Jury, led by Fashion Consultant/Producer and former IMG executive Christina Neault. Joining Christina are legendary fashion designer Betsey Johnson; fashion TV personality Robert Verdi; actress and supermodel Lydia Hearst; Gen Art Fresh Faces alumni Steven Cox and Daniel Silver of Duckie Brown, and other renowned members of the fashion industry.
