The decades old legacy program inaugurates their first in-house women’s fashion brand for the FW’16 season.
Gen Art, the legacy program that has showcased and elevated the careers of some of the most notable designers, artists, and filmmakers of today, has now launched a clothing line for the retail market that reflects the talents they have fostered and collaborated with in the past.
The organization recently released the F/W 2016 season collection for OPENHOUSE, their in-house women’s fashion label. Each collection will be in partnership with a new guest contemporary artist and will be displayed through live activations at local and global retailers.
OPENHOUSE’s first collection, a collaboration with street artist Jacqueline Levine, features slouchy t-shirt dresses, printed button-downs, and vintage-inspired lightwash denim, adorned with colorful symbolic characters. The Los Angeles-developed line draws clear inspiration from the laidback and playful vibes of the west coast while combining east coast elements of classic fitting silhouettes and darker shades of color.
OPENHOUSE will make its debut at BAUHAUS, Hong Kong.
