Gen Art

Gen Art is the leading platform for emerging designers in the United States. Since 1995, it has shown more than 500 emerging womenswear, menswear and accessory designers in a variety of fashion programs around the country..

Gen Art’s designer alumni include Zac Posen, Rebecca Taylor, Philip Lim, Duckie Brown, Vena Cava, Rodarte, Ohne Titel, Alexandre Plokhov, Raquel Allegra and countless others. Almost a dozen Gen Art alums have been awarded by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and many others have been nominated.

Our anchor fashion program is Fresh Faces in Fashion which features 6-8 runway debuts, along with 4 accessory designers in installation.

Other Gen Art fashion programs have included the Styles International Design Competition, New Garde and Shopping Events where a group of curated young designers can sell their wares directly to fashion enthusiasts.

Gen Art's fashion program has been covered by Vogue Magazine, Elle, Style.com, Refinery29, The New York Times, E! News and countless others.

In 2012, Gen Art will host Fresh Faces in Fashion shows during both NY Fashion Week and Los Angeles Fashion Week as well as our New Garde show happening in New York on February 9th.
