Monroe's blends 40's retro kitsch with New York decadence. The decor consists of zebra prints, glass walls, and accents of pink and black. There are two stories so you will find plenty of room to chill. Dont get too comfortable because once the DJ starts spinning later in the evening and gets everyone moving. The ambisexual and artsy crowd is what sets this place apart. Monroe's has become what it is today thanks to Peter Garland (the owner of Porto Via) and Frederick Sutherland (designer of Deep and Forty Deuce.
