944 MAGAZINE TO HOST PUBLIC TAKEOVER OF HARD ROCK HOTEL & CASINO FOR 4-YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY

944 to Continue Tradition of Weekend-Long Anniversary Blowouts With Three Days of Live Entertainment and the Grand Finale of REHAB

Las Vegas (September 21, 2009) - For the fourth year running, 944 Magazine will pull out the stunts for its annual anniversary bash, celebrating four years in Sin City. From Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27, "944 Turns 4," will host a public takeover of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with three days and two nights of live entertainment, art installations and a Rehab summer grand finale.

Event highlights include live performances by Van Morrison, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and the Pet Shop Boys, and the Season 6 grand finale of Hard Rock's notorious Rehab. Other weekend performers include DJ Vice, DJ Cubeechee, DJ OB-One, Clinton Sparks, DJ Melo-D, DJ Nugget, DJ Eric D-Lux and more.

"This year revolves around the talent and electronic music that make Las Vegas such a great city to live in," said 944 Las Vegas Publisher Ryan Doherty.

944 will celebrate the event in concurrence of "944 Magazine Day," as declared by the honorable Mayor Oscar Goodman during 944's first anniversary in Las Vegas.

Garnering national media and public attention in past years, the 944 Las Vegas anniversary parties have become widely recognized for pushing the envelope with round-the-clock national talent performances, celebrity attendees and out-of-the-box publicity stunts. In 2006, 944 Las Vegas took over The Palms Resort Casino for its one-year anniversary party in conjunction with the Palms $40 million pool launch. In addition to breaking the Guinness Book of World Records for the "longest DJ set" at 88 hours, 944 wrangled nearly 10,000 guests for a poolside concert with Camp Freddy, 24-hour band and international DJ performances, a celebrity gifting suite, bikini runway show, private dinners and red-carpet premiere of Superman Returns at Brenden Theatres.

Past 944 anniversary party attendees and talent have included Paris Hilton, Jenny McCarthy, Will.i.am, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Wyclef, Stacey Keibler, Kim Kardashian, Kiefer Sutherland, Brody Jenner, Tara Reid, Shannon Elizabeth, Eliza Dushku and more.

For years two and three, 944 Magazine moved across the Strip to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to host the largest art show in Las Vegas. More than 100 artists featured their works such as Shag, Tim Biskup, Shepard Fairey and Greg "Craola" Simpkins, with headlining entertainment by Rocco DeLuca, She Wants Revenge, De La Soul and Gavin Rossdale.
