San Francisco, CA (August 30, 2009) – Local philanthropic group, Spinsters of San Francisco are celebrating 80 years ofservice to the San Francisco community. To kick offthe landmark anniversary, the Spinsters will come together to welcome the new class at their annual New Member Tea being held on August 30th, 2009 at the Fairmount Hotel from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm in the Crown Room.
Set against the stunning San Francisco skyline in the opulent Crown Room, the new class of 2009-2010 will be introduced to the newly inducted board of directors and committee chairs. Spinsters of San Francisco will be toasting to a new year with decadent couture cupcakes from Teacake Bake Shop of Lafayette and traditional high tea treats. This important gathering will set the stage for the 2009-2010 year as the board and committee chairs share with the audience their plans for the new year. In addition, the new class will have the opportunity to bid for the committee of their choice. The events that take place will not only be a great introduction to new faces and charitable causes, but it will lay the groundwork for a successful fundraising year and build upon the already impressive legacy of Spinsters of San Francisco.
