SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, January 19, 2009—Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson has announced the repertory for the Opening Night Gala of San Francisco Ballet’s 76th Repertory Season, with the theme of Russian Treasures, on Wednesday, January 21 at 8:00pm at the War Memorial Opera House. San Francisco Ballet is America’s oldest professional ballet company with an illustrious history of “firsts,” including the first American productions of Swan Lake and Nutcracker. Mrs. Jane S. Mudge is event chair of the 2009 Repertory Season Opening Night Gala.
The gala evening will include 10 classical and contemporary works and excerpts.
