SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 5, 2009) – The annual Raphael House Benefit Gala will commemorate 37 years of service in the Bay Area on Thursday, May 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco. This year’s Gala Chairs are Jessica Moment, proprietor of Philanthropist Boutique, Kate Smith, Raphael House Board Member, community volunteer and philanthropist, and Stephanie Rach, president and founder of IAGmedia.

The mission of Raphael House is to help at-risk families achieve stable housing and financial independence, while strengthening family bonds and personal dignity. “Now more than ever, there will be a need to support our families in crisis and we hope to continue to successfully raise the vital funds in order to do just that.” says Father David Lowell, Executive Director “The Gala is our single most important fundraiser and the revenue generated from this event is critical to our programs and services for our families.”

The “Mid-Century Modern Glamour” themed Gala will begin with a cocktail and champagne reception and silent auction, followed by dinner and a live auction including “celebrity chef” dinners, with Chef Sean O’Brian amongst 6 others. In addition, this year’s Gala will host a dessert bar with an Espresso Subito coffee bar and Premium Ports Porto. Attendees will dance the night away to the iconic sounds and synchronized moves of Bill Hopkins Rockin’ Orchestra. A special drawing will send one lucky winner and a guest to any destination in Europe, courtesy of Lufthansa.
