How many bars in the valley can say they've been around thirteen years? Not many. Congratulations again to all of the people that made this bar such a big success. I sat down with the owner Rick and he shared some secrets with me. I was always curious about the name so that was my first question. The original Merc Bar was on Mercer Street, easy enough. So back to the thirteen years, and in our conversation basically what it comes down to is a lot of little things like, remembering regulars names, remembering what kind of drink they like and many other things that other bars tend to forget.
