Approximately 300 revelers enjoyed delectable cocktails, live and silent auctions, scrumptious nibbles and endless dancing to top 80’s hits performed by the band Pop Rocks, all while surrounded by the San Francisco Zoo’s naturally wild jungle backdrop. The Gala included a special VIP reception to honor our corporate sponsors and Zoo II members. VIP attendees sipped champagne and had a rare viewing of a special exhibit.

Net proceeds from Fur Ball support the San Francisco Zoo and its community and education programs. The Zoo’s children’s programs feature an array of activities such as wildlife crafts and games, keeper talks, Zoo tours, close-up animal encounters, and a Junior Keeper Club for youths interested in animal careers. Its adult lecture series enables San Francisco residents to hear from renowned conservation experts from around the world. These programs would not exist without the financial support provided by fundraisers such as Fur Ball.
