SF-based ForestEthics Parties at 100 Million Trees Event
for the Right to Stop Junk Mail

San Francisco - On Tuesday, September 30, the San Francisco-based environmental organization ForestEthics held the 100 Million Trees Party in the Spanish Suite at CLIFT to support its Do Not Mail campaign to stop unwanted junk mail from reaching American mailboxes. Celebrity hosts in attendance included Swedish-born actress and model Malin Akerman (The Heartbreak Kid, Entourage), Producer Peter Glatzer from Reconcile Productions (Alter Eco with Adrian Grenier), and Discovery Channel Planet Green stars Annabelle Gurwitch (Wa$ted, Dinner and a Movie), Boise Thomas, Lauren Gropper, and Hollywood’s resident “Eco-Macgyver” Darren Moore.

Over 175 guests enjoyed Treetini eco-friendly cocktails by VeeV and Cava sparkling wine by Organic Vintners while raising over $125,000 for ForestEthics and its programs to protect endangered forests and quell junk mail. The 100 Million Trees party was co-chaired by ForestEthics board members Nadine Weil and Marika Holmgren and sponsored by Christopher & Amber Marie Bently (World Forests level), the King Pacific Lodge eco-resort in the Great Bear Rainforest, the Epi Center eco-MedSpa, Parducci, Honig, Ecofabulous, Heart of Green, Organic Events, and PlanetTran hybrid car service.
