LivingHomes, a Santa Monica based premier developer of modern, sustainable homes (www.livinghomes.net ), is unveiling their latest design with AIA firm of the year 2008 KieranTimberlake in Long Beach at this week's TED conference (www.ted.com). The 2200 sq ft home is a combination of modular and panelized pre-fab construction. It features a definitive environmental system and has been designed to meet LEED Platinum certification. The home will also be for sale following its stint in Long Beach. I realize that you may not be able to view the home in person, but if you are interested in covering or sending an SoCal-based colleague, please let me know!
The home was built over the course of four days on the plaza of the Long Beach PAC and features furnishings, materials, products and technology showcasing the best in sustainable design available today.
