The multi-platinum musician, rapper and producer Wyclef Jean is the latest headliner announced for Hotel 944 at the Eden Roc Renaisssance in Miami Beach, Fla. On Saturday February 6, Wyclef will hit the stage with fellow music stars Kid Sister and Mario to perform poolside in honor of the biggest sports weekend of the year.
Recently, the multiplatinum artist has been garnering headlines for his efforts to help the victims of the Haitian earthquake. As the founder of Yele Haiti, Wyclef's plea for help spread all across the world through social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Through Yele Haiti, Wyclef uses music, media and sports to help raise awareness to the country as well as make a difference in education, health and improving the enviornment and community.
Originally breaking into the mainstream as a member of the iconic group, The Fugees, Wyclef (along with Lauryn Hill and "Pras" Michel) sold more than 18 million copies of their classic album, "The Score." After striking out on his own in 1997, Wyclef has continued his successful career, working with everyone from Lil Wayne to Earth, Wind & Fire to Shakira. His seventh studio album will be released this February.
