With the Newport Beach Film Festival just over a month away, what better way to get involved with it than volunteer? The festival is currently seeking enthusiastic film lovers to volunteer April 22 to 29th, which will spotlight over 350 films from around the world. With an array of features, shorts, documentaries and animation, screenings, events and galas will take place at various venues throughout Newport Beach, volunteers will have the opportunity to fill many positions, including guest relations, merchandise sales, theater ushering, office reception, and gala and special events staffing. Three to four hour shifts are available in the mornings, afternoons and evenings and volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Interested volunteers should attend one of the mandatory orientation sessions at the City Council Chambers in Newport Beach City Hall, 3300 Newport Blvd. on The Peninsula:
• Monday, March 15 at 7:15 p.m.:.
• Saturday, March 20 at 10:00 a.m.
• Wednesday, March 24 at 7:15 p.m.
• Saturday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m.
• Wednesday, April 7 at 7:15 p.m.
