'The Heart Is A Drum Machine' documentary premiered this past Friday, February 6th, at the Phoenix Art Museum. Not only was the event a huge success but the documentary was packed with both comical and intellectual commentary throughout the film. There were over 600 attendees at the venue which included many celebrity apperances. Matt Sorum (Guns and Roses, Velvet Revolver) hosted the event and other celeb sitings included Maynard James Keenan (Tool) and Fairuza Bulk (Waterboy, American History X, The Craft). The event included a wine tasting session prior to the movie screening, a chocolate fondue fountain, a hosted Ciroc Vodka bar, and music provided by DJ William Reed. There were a total of two movie screenings of the documentary and both showings were sold out with audiences of 300 guests. The film included interviews with various singers, musicians, actors and actresses that all had something to contribute as to why and how music influenced and effected their lives individually. The Heart Is A Drum Machine was definitely a crowd-pleaser and allowed the audience to get a real life account of how exactly music inspires and touches the lives of many.
