There's new evidence that Poltergeist wasn't such stretch. A new study reveals that about 10% of children hear voices that aren’t really there. More interesting, most aren’t too disturbed by it, There is a higher chance of schizophrenia among kids who hear them, but most kids will stop hearing them as they age. One interesting difference is that city kids were less likely to hear voices, but more bothered by them when they did. (An early sign of maturity, perhaps?) Now I’m waiting for a study about what children see.
