Last year, Spanish designer Oscar Diaz's exhibition called Sueos de un Grifo Diseo con Alma de Agua left a mark in bright ink on the expression of time. Measuring approximately 2.5 square feet, the Ink Calendar' is the first of its kind. The canvas is embossed with numbers which are colored in as each day of the month arrives. The overall aesthetic encourages the use of our senses rather than our conscious mind. Moreover, each month has its own ink color assigned by the perception of the weather. So expect to see fresh greens in spring and warmer reds in the summer. Although the exhibit closed in October 2009, we can only hope to see similar work by Diaz in the future.
