Eat Your Heart Out, Boys. Jenn Brown Knows Her Sports

Hello lovely readers of 944, I am Jenn Brown, “The Guys Girl.” You may ask what is a “guys girl”? To be honest, I have been called that my whole life and I’m still not exactly sure. What I can tell you is that that growing up I was a tomboy. In fourth grade, My best friend Courtney and I used to beat up the boys at the cross walk...literally. (Sorry Mike)

I was a huge jock in high school and college. When most girls were going to the mall and worrying about dating, I was playing 7 sports, breaking the record for the most Varsity letters from a male or female athlete (14) in high school and then going on to play Division I softball for the University of Florida… GO GATORS!

Aside from being a tomboy, I am what one would call a geeky gadget girl. I love electronics and always have to have the newest gadget, phone, computer, camera, etc. I have even had to show the “geek squad” how to install a new home entertainment system when they couldn’t figure it out for themselves. And I still have no idea why I even knew how to do it.

Now to the good stuff… I actually get paid to watch Football, Boxing, MMA (mixed martial arts), all action sports and College Football. I’m a TV Host and Sports Broadcaster, so yes, I basically travel around the country and interview all the biggest athletes in the wonderful world of sports!

So I guess all of these things I do kind of fall into the “guy” category. And since I’m a girl...I guess that makes me a “Guy’s Girl.”

My hosting coach once told me “Jenn, you need to learn how to talk to women. You only know how to talk to guys and it is going to limit you in the jobs you can get.” I then told her, I talk to girls all the time, they just don’t like to talk about football...and I like football.

So, my dear readers of 944, I, Jenn Brown, “The Guys Girl” look forward to talking about all my adventures in the world of sports, gadgets and electronics and hope to become more of a “Girl’s, Girl” along the way!
