What's New: MiH for Shopbop

An exclusive capsule collection by MiH arrives on Shopbop.com

Shopbop.com, the daily fashion online shopping destination, announces the arrival of an exclusive capsule collection with MiH jeans. Reminiscent of '70s bohemia, the collection offers easy yet elegant dressing options for urban and resort wear.

For this collection, founder and creative director of MiH Jeans, Chloe Lonsdale, takes us back to the bohemian allure of the '70s. Lonsdale was inspired by Anita Pallenberg's unique sense of style throughout her travels with the Rolling Stones to Marrakesh's iconic La Mamounia Hotel - the contrast of the colorful souks and decadent lifestyle amidst the fading historic architecture of the city.

This capsule collection is an assortment of feminine and whimsical pieces, featuring MiH's iconic Marrakesh kick flare jean, a new Marrakesh short and the cropped flare Monaco jean, all with colorful braided embroidery in shades of blue, taupe, red and white.

The denim is complimented with five styles of effortlessly feminine blouses, tunics, and safari shirts in sun-bleached hues with pops of red and cobalt blue. Washed denim, chambray and mousseline fabrications make for a collection that is fresh and easy to wear.

"A lot of what we create at MiH stems back to my mum, Chekkie Maskell, who was the original muse for the brand in the late '60s and '70s," says Lonsdale. "It seemed only natural to use her as the inspiration for the Shopbop.com Capsule Collection, as she was the perfect embodiment of the woman who would wear these styles the best - someone who was effortlessly cool with a natural sense of style."

Lonsdale continues, "We used an archive photograph of my mum as the anchor for this collection and even carried it through to the exclusive hangtags we created." The result is a collection of items that offer women a modern interpretation on vintage classics, available now at Shopbop.com.
