San Francisco based clothing line, Chan.nel Karama Ltd., announces a one-of-a-kind fashion event in San Francisco

Exclusive Clothing Designer Viewing in San Francisco

On Friday, July 16th, 2010 at 7pm, Chan.nel Karama Ltd. will be presenting their A/W 2010 Ready-to-Wear collection and Swimwear 2010 with an event called Kre8 (pronounced Create): Pure Imagination. Kre8 draws upon an inventive theatrical theme to construct an experience for the patrons in attendance by providing a viewing of the latest Couture and Ready-To-Wear collections for Chan.nel Karama Ltd. The purpose of this event is to promote creativity and entrepreneurial growth through networking with peers in all genres of creative/media arts and prominent fashion industry professionals. The local fashion industry will converge at this intimately, exclusive event taking place at the Barber Lounge, 854 Folsom Street in San Francisco.

In deciding upon the theme, it had to be inventive enough to leave the imaginative possibilities endless yet, cohesive and broad enough that all patrons could relate. After pondering a few ideas, we came up with recreating Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. It screamed playful, inviting even, but, could be elaborated on enough to make it contemporary and lively. The witty characters portrayed in the movie amidst a wildly imaginative candy-land gave for a great foundation to creative a runway show environment no one will forget. This events format, along with the positive media/public attention Chan.nel Karama Ltd receives, has been one of the reasons why interest of participation in this affair has grown so dramatically.

Chan.nel Karama Ltd has recently recieved accolades for their plus-sized segment of its line which was on display in New York City's Full Figured Fashion Week. Along with having its finale photo appear on the front page of the New York Times, designer LaToya Skinner, was deemed the "more promising of the new and emerging designers" by Vogue Italia. VogueCurvy's Nicolette Mason goes on to say "Her ability to create innovative silhouettes that flatter curvy figures is more than welcome in a market thirsty for this kind of evolution towards more fashion forward pieces" Chan.nel Karama was also displayed in videos from Skorch Magazine and UK-based news site, Reuters and magazines and blogs such as Manik Magazine, San Francisco Fashion Examiner and TheCurvyFashionista.
